On Holy Saturday, March 30, 2024, Parishioners from across the North Newton Jasper Pastorate gathered at the parishes of Sorrowful Mother, St. Augusta, and St. Cecilia to observe the tradition of blessing Easter foods. 

Parishioners brought 33 baskets filled with a variety of foods representing religious and cultural significance for Father Michael McKinney and Deacon Joe VanSchepen to bless. Thank you to Father Mike, Deacon Joe, and everyone who brought food to be blessed!
