This Declaration considers several questions that have come to this Dicastery in recent years. In preparing the document, the Dicastery, as is its practice, consulted experts, undertook a careful drafting process, and discussed the text in the Congresso of the Doctrinal Section of the Dicastery. During that time, the document was discussed with the Holy Father. Finally, the text of the Declaration was submitted to the Holy Father for his review, and he approved it with his signature.

The Knights of Columbus Council 14368 of St. Cecilia Church wishes to thank those parishioners from across the Pastorate who attended the recent Fish Fry. We have heard from many of you that the fish was delicious. Over the coming year, our pastorate will be joined by a new face! Meet Father Ignatius (Iggy) Theophorus. Children in Faith Formation at Sorrowful Mother and St. Cecilia had fun coloring their own Father Iggy to take home on Saturday and Sunday, September 16-17. Throughout this year of Eucharistic Revival, our Pastorate will be learning about the Eucharist with the help of Father Iggy.

The North Newton Jasper Pastorate welcomed Father (formerly Deacon) Andrew Morand back for the weekend of Sept 9-10th, 2023. Parishioners were able to visit with Father Andrew after each Mass. Parents and children in Faith Formation joined in the fun and fellowship before meeting their catechists. Thank you to everyone who brought in dishes to share and those who participated in this event!

Many attended the Pastorate Pool Party on July, 13th that was held at the Spencer Park Pool in DeMotte. The event was sponsored by the St. Cecilia Ladies Sodality group and was open to the entire pastorate. Parishioners of all ages attended and had fun in the sun.
